Ans- Botany derives it name from an Ancient Greek word, meaning pasture. Botany is the study that studies plants and Botanists are the people who studies plants.

Ans- We study plants for many reasons like fashion and designing, food, nutrition, medicines, and many more things. So from it we understand that botany also has branches, as there are many type of studies in this branch.

Q3. Why is botany one of the oldest science?

Ans- Botany is not a recent development, as plants were also studied in Ancient Greek, India and China. Early botany was closely related to medicines, but then it became a more exact branch of science, so people started to note their observations. 

Q4. Who helped in the theory of evolution?

Charles Darwin, an English scientist, played a very important role in study of evolution. 

Q5. Who was the first to invent a naming system for plants?

Ans- Carl Linnaeus, a Swedish scientist, made the first modern system of naming plants and it is still in use. This was a massive achievement in botany.

My Perspective-

As we read in this blog that botany is not a recent development, many other branches of science would also have been studied in Ancient Greek and India. But as we had read that in ancient China also botany was studied so why is it now making such deadly viruses. So for this we should always be prepared and for that we should boost our immunity. Because of this study now we know that many species of pants have got extinct in just these 100 years, but if we do it like this we would not be able to live, so please save trees around you. Otherwise we humans only will regret about it.
