Strategic Alliances- 

For any achievement gone need the right person on your team. 

Sugriv was very keen on this. Very first Sugriva was willing to get back his kingdom from his brother Bali. When he came to know about Ram he sent Hanuman to crack a deal- Ram will kill Bali and give Sugriva back his kingdom and then Sugriva will help Ram to get back kidnapped Sita. 

Again after the Bali-Ram incident when Sugriva became king he welcomed Angad Bali's son with an open heart and warmth of elderliness back into his army again. As Sugriva was knowing the potential of every character around him. He identified eight persons for the right job and this is what the fruitful strategic alliance persona of Sugriva teaches us the importance of relationships. 

A manager capable of developing good relationships can do wonders for the organisation. If you want to grow your business then you have to learn these skills for identifying the right person, making good relations, and appointing the right man for the right task.

Ramayana and Management

 

Team motivation- 

Team motivation is the necessity for goal achievement for any team. Ram had motivated his team of monkeys i.e. vanarsena. Ram, Lakshman, and Jamvant, never let the vanarsena think that, monkeys are inferior to human beings. This team motivation changed the entire story right from building setu to Lanka. And to get victory in the war. 

The whole team motivates an individual- 

This is the main thing which must be done in any way in each team, group or even in the family. You have to motivate your depressed members to get the goal achieved. When hanuman was set to search Sita Mata towards the South, at the seashore nearest to Lanka other members of his team like Jamvant motivated Hanuman that he can reach Lanka without any failure and how Hanuman is full of possibilities.

Swot analysis- For any achievement you want in your life, business, job, or career, an in-depth study is a must. When Hanuman visited Lanka first time he studied the place, people, cabinet, and Ravan and even identified the strengths and weaknesses. Hanuman was the first who witnessed and kindness of Vibhishana. Today's management personnel and even decisions makers have to be critical thinkers and they need to prepare mentally to attend to the goals.

Concern and Environment

Concern and Environment- 

The stories of Indian History are full of environmental concern. Even in Ramayana, there is always a concern for the environment in every incident. 

The incident of construction of Ram Setu has its own significance. Ram with his vanarsena reached the southmost end of the land which is having seashore. It was an important question of how to march over the sea with the huge monkey army. 

Ram prayed and worshipped Samudradev- God of oceans to grant passage for his army. Samudradev appeared and explained that he is bound by the law of nature and showed the shallow area where the cause can be built. Lord Ram accepted and constructed the Ram Setu. 

The act of Ram was full of concern for all the living beings who lived in the sea. And the way the balance between goal and environment was in front of him. 

There is another incident of Lanka Dahan by Hanuman. As we see it was a huge fire but Hanuman only set fire to the buildings, without harming the living beings of Lanka. In Lanka Dahan, only nonliving things turned into ashes. Lanka Dahan was a necessary act to hammer the ego of Ravana. So Hanuman jumped over the buildings to set the fire. in this way, Hanuman was able to balance his aim and the life cycle of Lanka. 

In today's era, every organisation has to deploy balance between its business growth and the environment. It should be sustainable in all ways. We all have to ensure that we will protect our mother Earth while we work on modernization.

Leaving the comfort zone

Leaving the comfort zone- There are many incidences in Ramayana which are showing the act of leaving the comfort zone. Very first is the Sita and Lakshman opted to go into exile with Shriram. The exile period was some sort of study period for Ram to earn about the actual conditions of the entire kingdom. These learnings and observations during the exile period always guided Shriram to be better and better day by day. Today's era is of cut-throat competition in every aspect, right from school days. So you have to explore the best possibilities.

Importance of master plan

Importance of master plan- 

A master plan is the spinal cord of every achievement. 

At the time of Sita's abduction, Ravana came with Maricha with a full-proof plan and a backup plan. Though Maricha was dying he shouted in the voice of Ram to mislead Lakshman. The plan of Ravana was executed finely as no one deviated from instructions. 

On the other side on demand of Sita, Ram was set to hunt that golden deer by giving an instruction to Laksman, not to leave Sita at any cost. This instruction of Ram was itself a plan for the protection of Sita, but they didn't follow it. 

After listening to an urge for help in the voice of Ram, Lakshman had to go so he instructed Sita not to come out of 'Lakshman Rekha'. But again Sita didn't follow the instruction and Ravana got success in abducting her. 

This incident teaches us how the team gets deviated from the goal by not following the master plan. For achievement, it is necessary to follow the master plan in any way without fail. The master plan importance is the thing that each one should learn.

Importance of Communication

Importance of communication- 

The root of every problem in any family, team, organisation, or group of people serving the same purpose is miscommunication. 

The miscommunication was the reason behind the Sugriva and Bali conflict. Even when Sita has abducted the reason for Lakshman to go to see his brother Ram was nothing but the miscommunication imposed by Ravana. 

When this miscommunication occurs you get deviated from your master plan and thus the goal is missed. If you are the leader, then don't let miscommunication come your way. Always ensure that the job of everyone is communicated in a nice way to them.

जयकृष्णदास बाबा

 

सिद्ध श्री जयकृष्णदास बाबा का जन्म बंगाल राज्य के किसी छोटे से ग्राम में हुआ। बचपन से ही हृदय में गौर चरणों के प्रति सहज प्रीति थी। महाप्रभु जी की असीम कृपा के कारण जगत से वैराग्य हुआ और वृंदावन की ओर पैदल चल पड़े। रात्रि में एक दिन श्री वृंदा देवी ने स्वपन में कहा - तुम काम्यवन के विमलकुण्ड पर जाकर भजन करो। बाबा आज्ञा मानकर विमलकुण्ड पर भजन करने लगे।

बाबा को वहां के गोप बालक परेशान करने लगे। बाबा ने विचार किया कहीं अन्य जगह जाकर एकांत में भजन करेंगे। गांव वासियों ने बाबा के लिए एक पक्की कुटिया बनवा दी जिसमें बाबा निरंतर भजन में डूबे रहते। रात भर श्यामा श्याम के ही याद में अश्रु विसर्जन करते रहते। कभी -कभी विरह में इतने व्यथित हो जाते कि प्रेम वेश में ऐसी हुंकार भरते दिशाएं विकम्पित हो जाती है। एक बार उनकी विरह हूँकार से कुटिया की छत ही फट गई जो आज भी दर्शनीय है।

एक दिन मध्याह् में बाबा मानसिक लीला चितवन कर रहे थे कि विमलकुंड के चारों और असंख्य गाय और गोप बालक आ गए।  गोप बालक कुटिया के बाहर से चिल्लाने लगे - बाबा ओ बाबा!  प्यास लगी है। नेक जल पिवाय दे। बाबा तो पहले से ही गांव की गवारिया बालकों से परेशान थे।  बाबा ने कोई जवाब नहीं दिया। परंतु बालक भी कौन से कम थे ? अनेक प्रकार के उत्पात करने लगे ।

कुछ बालक दरवाजे के पास आकर बोले - बाबा ओ बंगाली बाबा! हम सब जाने कि तू कहां भजन करे है। अरे! कुटिया ते निकल के जल पिवाय दें। हम सबकूँ बड़ी प्यास लगी है।  बाबा एक लकड़ी हाथ में लेकर क्रोधित होकर बाहर आ गए।

सामने क्या देखें असंख्य गाय और गोप बालक।  सब एक से एक सुंदर। एक से एक अद्भुत।  उनको देखते ही बाबा का क्रोध शांत हो गया। एक बालक जो सबसे सुंदर था उससे बाबा ने पूछा - लाला तुम कौन से गांव से आए हो?

बालक बोला -नंदगांव ते।

बाबा बोले- आपका नाम क्या है?

कन्हैया ! बालक ने उत्तर दिया।

दूसरे बालक से पूछा- तुम्हारा नाम क्या है?

बालक ने कहा - बलदाऊ! कहै मोते।

सभी बालक एक साथ बोल पड़े। देख बाबा पहले जल पिवाय दै।  बात पीछे करियो। बाबा ने स्नेहवश करुवे से सब को जल पिला दिया।

बालक बोले- देख बाबा ! हम इतेक दूर ते आमें है, प्यासे ही चले जाएं। तू कछू जल और बाल भोग राख्यो कर।

बाबा बोले -नहीं नहीं। रोज -रोज परेशान मत करना। बाबा कुटिया में चले गये। अब बाबा सोचने लगे ऐसा अद्भुत बालक और ऐसी सुंदर गाय तो मैंने कभी नहीं देखी। और ना ही मधुर हृदय को आनंद प्रदान करने वाली वाणी सुनी। ये सभी यहां के थे या दिव्य थे। बाबा ने विचार किया अभी तो बाहर ही हैं एक बार और देख लूँ। जैसे ही बाबा बाहर आए तो देखा न तो वहां गाय थी न गोप बालक। बाबा दुखित: हो उन बालकों के वचन को याद करने लगे। तभी बाबा को तंद्रा आ गई। श्री कृष्ण बोले - बाबा दुखी मत हो! कल तेरे पास में फिर आऊंगो। बाबा की तंद्रा टूटी और धैर्य धारण किया।

दूसरे दिन एक वृद्धा मैया में एक गोपाल जी का वि्ग्रह लेकर बाबा के पास आई। बोली- बाबा!मोते अब जाकी सेवा नॉय होय। लै तू जाकी सेवा कियौ कर।

बाबा बोले -मैं इनकी सेवा कैसे करूंगा ? सेवा की सामग्री कहां से लाऊंगा? 

वृद्धा मैया बोली -तू चिंता मत कर मैं रोज सेवा की सामग्री दै जायो करूंगी।  ऐसा कह कर वृद्धा मैया चली गई। बाबा प्रेम से गोपाल जी को निहारने लगे। अति सुंदर छवि को देखकर बाबा मुग्ध हो गये। उसी रात्रि वृद्धा मैया ने बाबा को स्वप्न में कहा -बाबा! मैं वृंदा देवी हूं।श्यामसुंदर की आज्ञा से वृद्धा के रूप में गोपाल जी देने मैं ही आई थी। अब तू प्रेम से गोपाल की सेवा कियौ कर। बाबा प्रेम से गोपाल जी की सेवा करने लगे।

इस प्रकार एक दिन बाबा मानसी लीला में डूबे हुए थे। अचानक बाबा पुकारने लगे - मेरे लहंगा कहां है, मेरी फरिया कहां हैं ? अपने दिव्य मंजरी स्वरुप को प्राप्त कर बाबा चैत्र शुक्ल द्वादशी अर्थात आज ही के दिन भौतिक देह छोड़कर निकुंज लीला में प्रवेश कर गए। 

एक संत बलरामदास जी कहते है-

"जहां मर कै जाना है 'बलि'

तहाँ जिन्दा क्यों नही जाइये।।"

Leaders have to make leaders- If you want to grow then you must be able to identify a person who can handle the situation even in your absence with presence of mind, by taking initiative, keeping calm, and acting like a diplomate. Only Hanuman was having the strength to fly up to Lanka and find Sita. Ram, Sugriva, and Jamvant were the prominent leaders but they identified the leadership qualities of Hanuman. Hanuman met Sita at Ashok Vatika and gave the message of Ram to her- and this task was over. But Hanuman intentionally destroyed Ashok Vatika ad purposely surrendered to soldiers so that he can analyse Ravana and his cabinet and the situation around Sita. In this course Ravan Hanuman was not offered a chair, so he made his own by his tail taller than Ravana to show his dominance. Ravana ordered to set fire to Hanuman's tail, but he used it to set fire to Lanka. All these activities of Hanuman were not the monkey's act but the use of the situation to show the dominance of Ram over Ravana. 

For your family, business, or team organisation you have to create leaders. And this is what we need for goal achievement.

 

मेंढक

एक बार भगवान राम और लक्ष्मण एक सरोवर में स्नान के लिए उतरे। उतरते समय उन्होंने अपने-अपने धनुष बाहर तट पर गाड़ दिए जब वे स्नान करके बाहर निकले तो लक्ष्मण ने देखा की उनकी धनुष की नोक पर रक्त लगा हुआ था! उन्होंने भगवान राम से कहा - भ्राता ! लगता है कि अनजाने में कोई हिंसा हो गई । दोनों ने मिट्टी हटाकर देखा तो पता चला कि वहां एक मेढ़क मरणासन्न पड़ा है

 

भगवान राम ने करुणावश मेंढक से कहा- तुमने आवाज क्यों नहीं दी ? कुछ हलचल, छटपटाहट तो करनी थी। हम लोग तुम्हें बचा लेते जब सांप पकड़ता है तब तुम खूब आवाज लगाते हो। धनुष लगा तो क्यों नहीं बोले ?

 

मेंढक बोला - प्रभु! जब सांप पकड़ता है तब मैं 'राम- राम' चिल्लाता हूं एक आशा और विश्वास रहता है, प्रभु अवश्य पुकार सुनेंगे। पर आज देखा कि साक्षात भगवान श्री राम स्वयं धनुष लगा रहे है तो किसे पुकारता? आपके सिवा किसी का नाम याद नहीं आया बस इसे अपना सौभाग्य मानकर चुपचाप सहता रहा।

Story of Tawang Monestry

 

The name of Tawang is believed to have derived its name from the grandiose Tawang Monastery perched on the edge of the ridge running along the western part of Tawang township. The popular interpretation is that the name “Tawang” was given by his holiness the Mera Lama Lodre Gyatso.

“TA” means Horse and “Wang” means Chosen. As the legend goes the site of the present Monastery is believed to have been chosen by a Horse owned by Mera Lama Lodre Gyatso. Mera Lama Lodre Gyatso was in search of an appropriate place to establish a Monastery and was unable to locate an appropriate site. Finally, he decided to sit on prayer for the guidance of divine power. As he opened his eyes after prayer, he found his horse missing. So wearily he went out for searching for his horse and found it on top of a hill calm and quiet. Believed it a good omen, Mera Lama Lodre Gyatso decided to initiate work for building up of Monastery with the help of people living across the land of Monpa in the later part of the 17th century according to the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama.

The angel of the battlefield

CLARA BARTON was a remarkable nurse who spent her half life on nursing service of others, even risking her life during the Civil War of USA. She is best known as finding the American Red Cross.

Clara Barton was born in 1821 in Massachusetts, USA. She was all of 10 when she resolutely nursed her injured brother to recover even when the Doctor’s give up. Clara was a shy girl to remove her shyness her parents forced her to teach children. At 17 years old she opened her own public school. During civil war she helped the soldiers by supplying medicines and bandages. But soon she started going on the battlefield as a self independent, and she cooked some meals for soldiers. The army made her nickname “Angel of Battlefield”. She worked in government war department supplying medicines and bandages.

1. While travelling in Europe she involved in the Red Cross Movement.

2. In her book “The Story of My Childhood, Barton recovers her experience in the formative work that set up her future.

स्वावलंबन का पाठ

जय श्री राम! कैसे हो आप? आपके लिए गुरुनानक देव के बचपन की एक कथा लेकर आयी हु। ध्यान से पढ़ना और सबके साथ शेयर करना।

यह बात गुरुनानकजी की है जब वे सिर्फ ६ साल के एक बालक थे। बालक नानक अपने मित्रों के साथ नदी किनारे खेल रहे थे। शाम हो रही थी और ठण्ड भी बढ़ने लगी थी तो उनकी बड़ी बहन बेबे नानकीजी उन्हें लेने नदी किनारे आयी। बेबे नानकीजीने अपने साथ गुरुनानकजी के लिए कम्बल लाया था। बेबे नानकीजी उनके पास आयी और बोली, "नानक शाम हो रही है घर चलो। और अगर अभी नहीं आ रहे हो तो ये कम्बल अपने पास रखलो।" 

कम्बल लेते हुए नानकजी बोले, "बेबे मैं आपके साथ ही चल रहा हु।" और अपने मित्रों से उन्होंने विदा ली और घर की तरफ बेबे नानकीजी का हाथ थाम्बे चल पड़े। 

रास्ते में उन्हें एक भिखारी दिखा जो ठण्ड से काँप रहा था। नानकजी ने उसे ध्यान से देखा। वह भिखारी शारीरिक तौर पर बिलकुल अच्छा था, कहिसेभी अपाहिज नहीं था। नानकजी इनके पास गए और कम्बल देते हुए बोले, "बाबा भगवान ने आपको अच्छे हाथ पैर दिए है, कुछ काम करिये और अपने स्वाभिमान के साथ रहिये। अपने कष्ट से कमाई रोटी मीठी लगती है। दूसरों ने दान दी हुई रोटी में इतनी मिठास कहा?"

ये बात उस भिखारी के मन में घर कर गयी। अगले दिन सुबह उसने स्वावलम्बी होने का ठाना और गांव में काम ढूंढने निकल पड़ा। किसी के खेत में उसे काम भी मिल गया। गुरु के शब्दों ने उसकी जिंदगी बदल दी। उसका परिवार उस दिन के बाद कभी भूखा नहीं सोया। 

कहानी का सार ये की बस काम करने की इच्छा चाहिए ईश्वर अपने आप रास्ते बना देता है। स्वावलम्बन की जिंदगी सुखी जिंदगी। 

जैसे गुरु नानक जी उस भिखारी को मिले और मार्ग दिखाया, वैसे ही सबको मार्ग दिखाते है। हमें बस देखने की जरुरत है।

विठू ने बरसो तक मराठा साम्राज्य की सेवा की

जय श्री राम सखियों और सखाओं। आज आपके साथ मराठा साम्राज्य के एक सिपाही की कथा साझा कर रही हूँ। 

एक दिन दस वर्ष का एक बालक नदी किनारे टहल रहा था। तभी वह शाहू महाराज का ताफा आया। उस बालक ने जोर से कहा, "अरे ओ जोग्दे ! खबरदार अगर मेरी धोती को छुआ तो!"

शाहू महाराज उस दस वर्ष के बालक की निडरता देख कर अच्चम्भित थे। पर देर हो जाने से जल्दी जल्दी स्नान कर रहे थे। उन्होंने नदी में नहाते हुए कहा, "नहीं बाबा तुम्हारी धोती को नहीं छुऊंगा।"

शाहू महाराज अपने दरबार में लौटे और २ सिपाहियों को कहा की उस बालक को दरबार में बुलाओ। सिपाही उस बच्चे को दरबार में लेकर आए। 

शाहू महाराज ने उससे पूछा, "तुम्हारा नाम क्या है?"

उस बच्चे ने कहा, "मेरा नाम विठू है।" 

महाराज ने विठू से पूछा, "अकेले नदी पर क्या कर रहे थे?"

विठू ने कहा, "माँ कहती है की काम करो नहीं तो फिर घर से निकलो और मैं काम नहीं करता इसलिए नदी के पास टहलने के लिए आया।"

महाराज ने पूछा, "तुम काम क्यों नहीं करते ?"

विठू ने कहा, "माँ के द्वारा जो मुझे काम दी जाते है वो मेरे मन लायक नहीं होते इसलिए मैं टहलने आ जाता हु।  मुझे घुड़सवारी करना, शिकार करना ऐसे काम पसंद है।"

महाराज ने उसके खाने का बंदोबस्त किया और एक खेलने के लिए एक लट्टू दे दिया। तथा उसकी निडरता से प्रभावित होकर उसके प्रशिक्षण की व्यवस्था का आदेश दे दिया। उसके बाद शाहू महाराज ने उससे कहा, "कोई भी काम छोटा या बड़ा नहीं होता। हर काम अपनी जगह लायक होता है। इसीलिए तुम्हारी माँ जो भी तुम्हे कहे भलेही पसंद न हो करना चाहिए इससे तुम उस काम को कैसे करना है ये जान सको।" विठू के बात समझ आयी और वह घर चला गया। उसकी माँ उसे जो भी बोले वो वह करने लगा। तथा महाराज के आदेश के अनुसार उसके प्रशिक्षण की व्यवस्था भी हुई और उसे युद्धकला का प्रशिक्षण देना आरम्भ हुआ। 

कुछ दिनों बाद शाहू महाराज ने विठू को शिकार के लिए बुलाया और एक सूअर दिखने पर उन्होंने उस पर गोली ताक दी। लेकिन गोली का निशाना चुक जाने से सूअर बच गया। पर बौखलाया सूअर शाहू महाराज पर झपटा। विठू ने प्रसंगावधान रखते हुए भाले से सूअर को घायल कर दिया। इससे शाहू महाराज बहुत प्रभावित हुए और  विठू के लिए १०० घुड़सवारों और बड़ी सी जागीर व्यवस्था कर दी। यही विठू विठ्ठल शिवदेव विन्चुरकर नामसे प्रसिद्ध हुए जिन्होंने ५० ६० सालो तक मराठा साम्राज्य की सेवा की। 

वस्तुतः अगर बच्चो को उनके मन को अच्छा लगने वाले काम दो तो उसका अच्छा ही परिणाम मिलता है। इसलिए उनपे अपनी पसंद नहीं थोपना चाहिए। उचित तो यही है की जो उन्हें अच्छा लगता वह उन्हें करने दो। परन्तु यह भी बच्चों को समझाना चाहिए की हर काम कैसे करना यह पता रहना चाहिए। किसी चीज का ज्ञान रहना कभी बेकार नहीं जाता।
