Image result for exam tension cartoon gif

Tips to improve memory

Tips to improve your memory
Turn off baground music
We all mutlitask , a necessary survival skill of digital age. But did you know that just listening to news while you answer your email can limit how well you are able to recall both? Normally, when you take a new information, you process it by a part of brain called cerebral cortex. But multi tasking reduces learning because people cannot attend to relevant information.

Refresh your mind
Yes, you know that meditation can reduce stress,  which research shows damage brain cells and your ability to retain information over time. But the ancient practice can do more than just soothe your soul,  it may also sharpen your memory.

Believe in your  brain
Do you find yourself worrying about forget fullness? Give it up! Any axienty you feel about your occasionally wayward memory later in life may actually make it worse. Healthy older floks scored poorly on memory tests after being informed aging causes forgetfulness saays study.

Why do we forget

Most exams are based on a set pattern to how much information you have absorbed and how much out of the absorbed information you can express in a given time frame. They are therefore test of your memory. Memory is not directly related to intelligence. You success in remembering study material depend on your interest, attention and persistence. In order to understand as to how required information at the time of exams, it will be equally important to know what makes you forget. Here are some causes of why do we forgot.

Weak impression
When something makes a weak impression on your mind, your chances of remembering the same after-words are very thin. This may be you are not sincerely attentive or do not find anything interesting in matter being taught. The other reasons for creating weak impression are too may distractions while learning and your mind being preoccupied with other thoughts at time of learning.

Not many repetitions
Whenever we get something to our attention repeatedly, we can remember the same easily. You may forget something when it does not come back to attention frequently.

Too much crowding
You can easily forget things when there are too many experiences crowding your after the same matter. When you have so many experiences about the same matter in your mind, they start interfering with each other and that results in your not been able to recollect them in proper manner.

Not willing to learn
You may not be able to understand that when you are really trying hard to remember few things, but you are able to recall it when necessary. The pertinent aspect to remember here is that that when there is fight between unconscious and conscious minds, unconscious mind always wins, for example, when you are studying against you will or you are studying only because you are under compulsion to do so even if you want to remember it, your unconscious mind will not allow any such compulsory matter to get your mind. Similarly, when you are reading a particular subject which dose not create any interest for you, you will  find it very difficult to learn even if you want.

Lack of concentration

Lack of concentration is due to day dreaming, lack of interest in  subject matter to much muscular tension or emotional conflict.

Hope you guys enjoy this article share this with your friends and family.

Plant information

Hello friends today I am going to give you information on plants. Friends plants are the main producers of oxygen on earth. If there will be no plants so most of us will die. So please save plants and trees.

Information

1. Plants which grow on land re called terrestrial plants. They are pollinated by insects.
2. Plants which grow on mountains are called mountain plants they have needle like leaves with waxy coating.
3. Plants which grow in water are called aquatic plants the plants which grow underwater are pollinated by water and which grow on the water are pollinated by insects.
4. Plants which grow in deserts have leaves in form of spines their stem is green and fleshy and their roots are very long they are normally 10 feet long and they can be long more than 50 meters.
5. Plants which grow on plains grow in warmer climate and shed their leaves in winter.
6. Plants in coastal areas are tall, straight and have a crown with feather like leaves.
7. Plants in marshy areas have special breathing roots that have small pores and the roots are outward of the soil.

Insectivorous plants

Plants which eat insects are called insectivorous plants. Insectivorous plants grow in soil where is less nutrients so they have to trap ans digest insects it. Example: Venus flytrap, Nepenthes lowii, Helliaphora chimantensis, Darlingtonia californica, Borcchinia reducta.

Carnivorous plants

Carnivorous plants eat insects and other athropods. They have adapted to grow where soil is thin.5 basic mechanisms are found in insectivorous plants.

Cactus is an member of cactaceae plant group. It has fleshy stem and needle like leaves to reduce water loss.

Pollination
Pollination is a process of transferring pollen one flower to another by insects.

Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis Formula

Photosynthesis is the process by plants and other organisms to convert light into energy into chemical energy. Photosynthesis is used different from different species, the process is always starts from light which are absorbed by proteins called reaction centers that contain green chlorophyll, which are the most abundant in leaf cell. Cactus, mimosa, coconut, etc can make their food by photosynthesis. The leaves contain pigment called chlorophyll, which colors leaf green, it can make food by photosynthesis.

Other information
Radish and sweet potato are root vegetables and cabbage and spinach are leafy vegetables.

We get almost 65% food from plants and 34% from animals and 1% from some other things.

Hydrilla is a submerged plant thin and narrow leaves with no stomata.

Ecihhorina is a floating roots and plate like leaves.

Seven life processes

Living and non-living things around us are differentiated by these life processes. Here a discussion about these life processes is given. Please read this article till the end to add few drops of knowledge in your life.

Moving
Moving from one place to another is quite obvious in living beings. Animals and human beings use their bodies to move.
But things like plants can't move from one place to another. They do movements in the direction of light and water. For getting more light many stems go upwards and for absorbing more and more water the roots move downwards.
Vehicles also move and smart gadgets also move but they move because humans or some animals are making them to move by operating them or by applying force to them. A Bullock cart is non-living thing but it moves when bullocks are applying force to it in specified manner. Petrol vehicles move when someone starts it and use the prescribed method to drive it.

Reproduction
All living things make offspring (babies or seeds). Humans and animals have babies. Birds, insects, reptiles and water animals lay eggs. Some new plants can grow from seeds. Some plants grow from cuttings or shoots. Now a days tissue cultured plants are also available.
But there are some non-living things that reproduce. A fire spreads and if get proper conditions such as dried bio-wastage or some fuel then it will spread again. And thus it seems to be live. But fire don't have any other life feature.
Crystals of salts catalyze and then reproduce an identical crystal and thus seem to reproduce and as they accumulate at one place they seem to grow but just reproducing and growing don't prove that crystals are living things.

Sensation
All living things respond to any change that they sense. All are having a sensory system depending upon the size and species. When you are feeling cold, you will put on a jersey or jacket. When it becomes winter some animals hibernate. In autumn the leaves on some trees change colour. You can use an umbrella to protect you from the rain or from the harsh sun on a hot day. Reptiles like to lie and bask in the sun on cold winter's days.
Non-living things do not respond to any changes around them. But some sensory machines like thermometer are designed to sense the changes and measure it. But such type of things do not show other life processes.

Breathing or respiration
All living things BREATHE gases in and out. Respiration is very ordinary process and too much useful to all leaving beings. Humans and animals inhale oxygen from the air and they breath out carbon dioxide. Plants breath in carbon dioxide during photosynthesis into their leaves and use it to make food. During this process they give off oxygen which is useful to other living beings. The photosynthesis process occurs in presence of sun-light means during day time. During night plants also inhale oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide.

Feeding or consuming food
All living animals and plants need food. Food gives all living things the energy they need.
Green plants can make their own food for energy in their leaves and stems. Humans and animals eat plants to get energy.

Excreting
All living animals and plants have to get rid of waste products of different processes taking place in their bodies. Humans and animals have to get rid of waste products from their bodies. There are special organs in the body which help to get rid of waste, such as the lungs, kidneys and skin. Your kidneys take the waste out of your blood and produce urine. Also, when you sweat you are actually excreting waste from your skin!
Plants get rid of waste water through the process of transpiration.

Growth
All living things grow. Human and animal babies grow into adults. Seedlings grow into plants.

All seven of the life processes must happen for something to be living. If something does not carry out all seven life processes then it is non-living. But there are some more features of life which are listed and explained below.

Use of energy
Use of energy is not one of the seven life processes. But all living things use the energy as they require. Many non-living things also use energy but they are to be driven or operated by humans.

Evolution
Evolution is process under which a thing is modified to accustom the environment around it. All the living creatures undergo this process but the evolution is very long term process. It needs several centuries to show the results. But the slow process is on the go with journey of this planet. This not listed in seven life processes but it is one of main features of the life.
Some non-living things like rocks, mountains, soil and other natural things also undergo process of evolution but they are not showing all the seven life processes explained above. Some man made things are also evolved as per the need of mankind; the very drastic example is mobile phone now becoming smart phone and many more electronics goods.

Adaption
All living being sense the changes around them and respectively react. But adapting to environmental conditions is key feature of life across the planet. As the weather conditions around all the living beings are changed as per their locations. Just as you can see trees and plants. Plants in rain forests are having longer branches bigger leaves as compared to the trees located in area where ice falls. Also plants in desserts are designed to save water while that in heavily raining area are having advanced features of transpiration. Adaption feature is absent in all non-living things.

Waiting for right conditions
Some things seem to be non-living for a very long time such as seeds, eggs etc. When seed get favorable conditions such as presence of moisture, light, soil, air etc they get germinated and grow in a plant and thus become living from non-living. Seeds are in dormant state till these conditions are not attained.
Birds lay eggs and keep them warm until they don't hatch. The warmth given by the parent bird only gives life to the egg.
Dry yeast seems to be non-living but as it gets warmth, moisture and sugar present in batter it becomes live and helps in fermentation of the cake batter, idli batter, dosa batter, bread dough

Dead and non-living
Living things can become dead when they die. Thus a dead thing means the things which were alive in past. Means a bark of fallen tree is dead. Bone of a dead animal are also dead.
But if the living things are processed they become non-living. Thus bark of tree cut in pieces and then finely processed for smooth feel is a non-living thing which is use in furniture purpose.
A tusk of elephant, nails of tiger, fish bones, skin of animals, sea-shells etc are dead things until they are processed. After processing and converting them into useful material for production of accessories they become non-living. Thus well processed sea-shells used for decoration purpose or used in ornaments are non-living one. The finely ground powder of animal bones used in bone-china crockery is dead before processing the animal bones.
Hope you liked the information which I have shred here. All you readers are requested to comment their opinion in comment section. Shortly the new articles based on your opinion will be published for spreading knowledge to all of you.

Living and non-living things around us

Everything that surrounds us is either living or non-living. All the things are classified by life only. In this article you are just adding some drops of knowledge in your life so please read this article till the end.

The living things like plants, animals, insects, birds, microorganisms, etc. are alive. On the other hand, non-living things such as bottle, pen, chair, door, computer, mobiles, etc. are not having life in them. Small units called cells are also common in all living things. The cells are the smallest building blocks of every living thing and they also function in some natural processes that symbolize the life. On the other hand, non-living things are not made up of cells.

Comparison:-
Q1. Define the living and non-living things.
  • As living things can be defined as the creatures that are alive and compose of cells.
  • On contrary non-living things are the objects that do not have life.

Q2. What is the criteria of organisation in living and non-living things?
  • Living things are well organised to live a life
  • While absence of life makes non-living things unorganized.

Q3. Describe the sensation and reactions in both categories?
  • Living organisms sense things and react to external stimulus and environmental changes. They also adapt to the new environmental changes.
  • Non-living things do not sense things and thus no reaction to external stimulus, no adaptions to environmental changes.
Q4. Who is growing?

  • Living things are made for a regulated growth. The growth leads to the process of evolution in living beings.
  • Non-living things do not grow. But there are some exceptions such as crystals, glaciers etc. No growth no evolution.
Q5. Explain the effect of life on both living and non-living things.
  • As life is present in living things they basically need food, water and air to live. Also they have certain span of life after which they die.
  • Life is absent so no survival and hence nothing is needed. This also leads to the situation of no life span.
Key features of Living beings

Living beings are human beings, plants, insects, birds, animals, fungi, bacteria, algae, protozoa, etc. There are some features which are common in all living things listed here

Move on their own.
  • Grow and develop, with time.
  • Respire to release energy.
  • Require nutrition
  • Excrete to eliminate waste.
  • Reproduce to give birth to the new organism.
  • Respond to the external environment.
  • Adapt themselves to the changing conditions.
These are nothing but the seven main features of a living thing. Every living thing possess these qualities in one or other manner depending upon the place of that organism in nature. These key features are explained very well in article of "Seven life processes"

Confusing non-living things

There are many non-living things which are confusing and are different. Here are some confusing points about them.

  • Some non-living things may become alive again depending upon the environmental conditions around them. e.g. seeds and eggs.
  • It is some time said that "soil is alive" or "living waters". This is confusing to everyone. Because soil and river (water) are non-living things. Then why people use to say like this? This is because there are several creatures which live in soil and water.
  • Nurse log - fallen tree bark in forests is also like this. It is actually dead (was living in past but now not living anymore) This nurse log gives a shelter for seeding new plants as well as it becomes home of many tiny creatures like insects, fungi, algae  and protozoa.
  • There are some things like glaciers, icicles, crystals which are growing due to some environmental processes but they are non-living. As they don't show other features of a living thing.
  • Some non living things which are operated by humans or animals are moving just like vehicles, gadgets etc.
  • Some dead things are processed to be used by humans are also non-living things just like natural fabrics, accessories and utensils made from animals and plants parts, wooden items used in day to day life, food items prepared to serve in plates - veg and non-veg both.

All other details about this topic will be covered in an extra article if needed so please follow this blog. Readers are requested to share their opinion in comment section below.
