Plant information

Hello friends today I am going to give you information on plants. Friends plants are the main producers of oxygen on earth. If there will be no plants so most of us will die. So please save plants and trees.

Information

1. Plants which grow on land re called terrestrial plants. They are pollinated by insects.
2. Plants which grow on mountains are called mountain plants they have needle like leaves with waxy coating.
3. Plants which grow in water are called aquatic plants the plants which grow underwater are pollinated by water and which grow on the water are pollinated by insects.
4. Plants which grow in deserts have leaves in form of spines their stem is green and fleshy and their roots are very long they are normally 10 feet long and they can be long more than 50 meters.

6. Plants in coastal areas are tall, straight and have a crown with feather like leaves.
7. Plants in marshy areas have special breathing roots that have small pores and the roots are outward of the soil.

Insectivorous plants

Plants which eat insects are called insectivorous plants. Insectivorous plants grow in soil where is less nutrients so they have to trap ans digest insects it. Example: Venus flytrap, Nepenthes lowii, Helliaphora chimantensis, Darlingtonia californica, Borcchinia reducta.

Carnivorous plants

Carnivorous plants eat insects and other athropods. They have adapted to grow where soil is thin.5 basic mechanisms are found in insectivorous plants.

Cactus is an member of cactaceae plant group. It has fleshy stem and needle like leaves to reduce water loss.

Photosynthesis is the process by plants and other organisms to convert light into energy into chemical energy. Photosynthesis is used different from different species, the process is always starts from light which are absorbed by proteins called reaction centers that contain green chlorophyll, which are the most abundant in leaf cell. Cactus, mimosa, coconut, etc can make their food by photosynthesis. The leaves contain pigment called chlorophyll, which colors leaf green, it can make food by photosynthesis.

Other information
Radish and sweet potato are root vegetables and cabbage and spinach are leafy vegetables.

We get almost 65% food from plants and 34% from animals and 1% from some other things.
