The bright surface of the Sun is the part that gives us energy for our survival. Its temperature is about about 6000 kelvin (5726.85 Celsius). Earth gets light and heat from the electromagnetic energy radiating from the photosphere. Photosphere is the part f Sun that gives us light and heat. It is the surface of the Sun.

It is made from two words- photos/photo meaning light, and sphere which refers to it's spherical shape.
