THING NOT TO DO IN CAT EXAM ?

I'll try to list as many points as possible.

1. During examination:
a. Grammar questions if you are an engineer.
b. Focusing on quantity rather than quality.
c. Getting 'emotional' about a question from your favorite topic.
d. Thinking about anything not related to the question you are attempting.
e. Drinking lot of water just before exam.
f. Attempting exam with a mindset of scoring 100 percentile.
g. Reading complete RC passage.
h. Attempting all questions in a set of DI questions in one go just because they are given together.
i. Attempting 5-6 questions in last 2-3 minutes.
j. Searching for your life partner in exam hall.
k. Start imagining yourself in IIMA after being able to solve 2-3 questions correct.
l. Start imagining yourself as a failure on not being able to solve 2-3 questions.
m. Estimating your percentile, while taking CAT.
n. "Over-switching" between different passages.
o. "Over-switching" between different sections.
p. Trying to score 100 percentile by concentrating on 1 section only.
q. Solving questions too fast and finishing a section way before the allotted time.

2. Just a day before the CAT-
a. Insufficient sleep. - Most important
b. Setting targets about the number of questions you will attempt.
c. Choking
d. Thinking about the result.
e. Eating after 8 PM.
f. Not knowing where your examination venue is located.

3. A month before the CAT
a. Breaking up with your girlfriend.
b. Trying to memorize the list of 4000 words. 
c. Not setting your biological clock in a manner, that you perform best during the exam time.

4. General points:
a. Not enjoying the preparation. If you are not enjoying the CAT preparation, then you must be doing something wrong.
b. Solving 1000's of questions just for the sake of solacing them, without internalizing and absorbing the underlying concept.
c. Not developing a habit of sitting for 4 hours.
d. Studying for 1 hour and then analyzing how much I have covered.
e. Studying too much without internalizing it. 
f. Not revising what you have already done.
g. Trying to learn one concept from multiple sources.
h. Doing PhD on every topic and concept.
