Question about plants 'Why are we dependent on plants'

Q1. Why plants are called autotrophs, and animals are called heterotrophs?

Answer- So to understand this we need to see a key difference between these two. Autotrophs are living organisms which make their own food with simple substances like water, and heterotrophs are the living organisms which eat autotrophs or other heterotrophs.

So plants make their own food with the help of sun, water and carbon-dioxide, as they make their own food with simple substances they are called autotrophs. Animals eat the plants and other animals, hence they don't produce their own food, and thus they are called heterotrophs.

Q2. How are we totally dependent on plants?

Ans- The plants produce oxygen which is necessary for our survival, without it we can not live as we would no have enough oxygen. And the other thing is that plants make food. So every animal is dependent on plants for survival, and even if someone is pure non-vegetarian he is indirectly depended on plants as the animals which he or she is eating are vegetarian so without plants there would be no life possible on Earth.

My Perspective-

So from this blog if you have read it carefully the you would understand how important are plants for our own survival. So we should plant more trees, plants any seed which comes in your house in a tumbler or a flowerpot and take care of it.
