Habitats and adaptations notes for science class 6

Hello friends in this article you are going to read about habitats and adaptation.

The place where an animal lives is called a habitat. The habitats are mainly divided into two parts- 
1. Terrestrial habitats- The habitats which are on land are called terrestrial habitats. 
2. Aquatic habitats- The habitats which are in water are called aquatic habitats.

Adaptations- The changes which take place in thousands of years and they help in survival at different habitats are called adaptations. Example- The desert is hot and dry, there is less water, so animals here are adapted like this- Camels- 
Their legs are long to escape from heat of sand.
Their dung is dry.
They do not sweat and do less urine.

Acclimation are the changes which occur in sometime, example you live in plains and you go to the mountain region you find it difficult to breathe. But after some days it is  normal again and you have no problems in breathing. The changes which happen in a short period of time are called acclimation.
