Aquatic habitats- The habitats which are in water are called aquatic habitats. These contain sea, oceans, rivers, lakes and ponds.
1. Seas and oceans- The most of world's part is covered with water and out of that 97% of it is ocean and sea water. The animals which live in water have gills, but some animals like whales and dolphins are mammals, and they have lungs instead of gills. They breathe through breathe holes which are located on top of their heads.
2. Ponds and lakes- These are fresh water source the aquatic plants also have roots but in a very small size. Their main function is tp hod the plant straight in the water, some plants are submerged and other seem to appear at the surface.
