Notes on fractions for grade 6 part 1

Hello friends in this article you are going to read about fractions.

1. A fractions is a part of whole or a group.

2. In 5  5 is known as numerator and 7 is called denominator.
      

3. Proper fraction is a fraction whose numerator is less than the denominator. Ex- 4, 6, etc. 
                          5  9

4. Improper fraction is a fraction whose numerator is greater than the numerator. Ex- 7, 23, etc. 
                            5  12

5. A mixed fraction is a mix of fraction and whole number.
Ex- 15, etc.
