1. The changes in which we can get the original size are called reversible changes. Eg- Melting of ice, warming of milk, etc.
2. The changes in which matter can't be changed to its original size are called irreversible changes. Eg- Burnt paper, bursting of balloon, changing milk into curd.
3. A metal rim is slightly smaller than wheel, on heating it expands and fits on the wheel. When cold cold water is poured over rim it expands and fit tightly on the handle after cooling.
4. The tools have a ring in which wooden handle is fixed. The ring is small in size. To fix the ring it is heated and it expands and fits tightly on the handle after cooling.
