Royal Doctor's Placement

The royal doctor had passed away and the King was looking for another one. When the news spread, hundreds of doctors came for the job. 

Finding it difficult to choose the right one, so the King gave this work to the Gopal. Gopal was one of his ministers and he was very clever.

Gopal called all the doctors to the court. All of them were seated, and each came with the hope that he will get the job. 

Gopal said, "You all have heard the saying that a great doctor kills more than a great general. I want to know how many each one of you has killed?"

One by one everyone stood and gave their count. The first one said that "he had cured at least10,000 patients and at least 2000 of them had died." 

The second said, " I have killed 3 thousand patients. And so on... Each one was one up on the other. They were proudly giving the statistics, eager to bag the post. 

The last one didn't say any word and was going out of the palace. 

Gopal asked, "Why are you going out of the palace?" The doctor said, "I have cured 10,000 patients but no one has died, so I am not in the race. Gopal said to the king, "Here is your doctor."
