A Hare was very popular with the other animals in the jungle who all claimed to be her best friends.
One day she heard the hounds approaching and hoped to escape them with the aid of her friends. So, she went to the horse, who always claimed that he is her friend, and said, “Hounds are approaching can you please help me?”
Horse said, “I have another work to do, for my master.”
She thought that her all friends will come for her assistance. So she went away to bull and told him the case, Bull replied, “Sorry my friend, I have an appointment with a lady, but lam will help you.”
So she went to lam, told him the case, Lam replied, “Another time dear friend because hounds eat ships and hares.”
The hare then applied the last hope, body part calf, who regretted that he has no work in hare body, hounds were near and hare took to her heels and escaped.
Thus, we learn how she has too many friends, but no good friends. It is good to keep some good friends, than many fair-weather friends.
