Ans- Habitat- The desert is hot and dry.
Adaptation- To protect themselves from extreme heat rat and snake live in burrows to protect themselves from heat of day and come out at night.

Ans- The habitat is the natural surrounding where the animals live.

Q3. How cactus is adapted to desert?
Ans- The cactus is adapted to desert for the following features-
1. It has long roots to absorb water.
2. It has spines except of leaves to reduce transpiration.
3. The stem is green for photosynthesis.
4. The stem has waxy coating to reduce evaporation.
5. Fleshy stem to store water.
