Children are future of nation, and every nation needs children for their future. As a nation, we are not expectation of great constitution we are all playing this responsibility very well. Do you know, as an Indian kid, what privilege we get from constitution? Our constitution refers several rights to younger citizens of country, and it considers most rights, those include in UN convention on the rights of the child as fundamental rights. The government has a good approach to undertake legislative, appropriate and administrative measures to ensure children’s rights. In term of Indian children, the rights given to our constitution include- Right to free and compulsory elementary education for all children in 6-14 age groups. Protected from any dangerous employment till age 14. And for being abused and forced to enter occupation that don’t suit for their age and strength. Equal opportunities and facilities to develop healthy manners and in condition of freedom and dignity and guaranteed protection of childhood and youth against exploitation and morals. To take care of early childhood care and education until they become 6 yrs old.
As children have rights like other Indian adult citizens such as-
Right to equality, right against decimation, right to personal liberty due process of law, right being protected from being trafficked and forced into bonded labor, right of minorities for protection of their interests, right of weaker sections of the people to be protected from social injustice and all forms of exploitation and right to nutrition and standard of living and improved public health.
