A chimpanzee was being transported by ship to a zoo, when there was a great storm and the ship sank. The chimpanzee managed to get out of that storm by cling to a wooden plank. For a long time, he was tossed about. Then amazingly a dolphin came riding a wave.
Come along" sit on my back offered the dolphin. 'I will drop you to the shore.'
The chimpanzee happily accepted it. Soon he was chirpy enough to recount some marvelous tales, all of them tall ones. Well you are certainly well travelled, and educated fellow", said the dolphin, impressed.
They were entering a large bay and the dolphin, thinking the chimpanzee would recognize it said, "I suppose you know Herring roads?"
Rhodes? said the chimpanzee assuming it was a name of a person. Of course I know Rhodes he is my friend.
By this time, the dolphin has realized, that the chimpanzee was a liar. He was so offend that he took a great leap out of the water. The chimpanzee fell down with a splash and the dolphin disappeared with a minute.
Moral: Liar gets punishment always.
