The frog and the mouse

 

In a quite corner of the village, stood a flowering tree by a pond. A  frog who lived in the pond befriended a mouse who had made a hole in the tree his home. At dawn the frog will visit his home and they spend time after noon when the frog would return to his pond they enjoyed each other’s company with months. Graddually there was a change in frog. He felt that after all it was he who visited the mouse and the mouse was not reciprocal. The more he thought about it the more humiliated he felt. He said enough its enough and one day he tied the mouse tail to his leg with a string without the knowledge of the mouse. when he took leave and hopped of, the mouse found to his horror that he was being dragged behind. The cunning frog ignored mouse’s plea and mercy and hopped merrily into the pond. The hapless mouse gave in after a struggle and met a watery grave. Before the frog could revel in his victory a hawk noticed the floating mouse. He swooped down and picked the mouse and along with it the frog too.

Moral: Do not dig too deep a pit for others you may fall into it yourself.
