The Ayurveda Day is being observed every year from 2016, on the day of Dhanwantri Jayanti. This year it fell on November 13, 2020, 

This year India will celebrate Ayurveda Day under the theme of ‘Ayurveda for Covid-19. 

The practice was started by the Union Ministry of Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Sidda, and Homoeopathy) in 2016.
