The porter

One day many years ago a young man got off a train at Howrah railway station and begin shouting for a Porter.

Man went up to him and ask him where he wanted to go.

College hostel said the man.

Let's go then said the youth and pick the  bags.

When did the hostel, the man kept the bags down and started walking away.

Wait the youth said and started digging into his pockets for some money.

I don't want anything, said the man learn to work with your hands, that is all I ask.

Then  next day when the youth went to the college he got the shock of his life. The principal Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, was the same man who has carried his bags. Overcome with same, the youth fell at his feet it and blurted an apology.
