Evolution of computer languages

Hello friends in this article you are going to read about evolution of computer languages.

First Generation languages
The first generation languages or Machine level languages are binary digits. Binary digits are the special signals which the computer understands they are 0 for OFF and 1 for ON. These are friendly to computer but is more difficult to use for the user.

Second generation language
The second generation language or Assembly languages were developed in 1950's. Programs written in this were called assembly codes. It consists of letters and numbers instead of binary digits. First and Second generation languages are called Low Level language or LLL.

 Third generation languages
The previous languages were difficult to use but third generation language or High Level Language (HLL) is quite similar to English. 
Some advantages of HLL-
Easy to use.
Easy to debug a program. 
Easy to understand program written in HLL.

Fourth generation languages
Fourth generation languages are more easier to understand than HLL, these are slightly better than HLL. These programming languages are made to reduce the overall time, money and effort of software development.

Fifth generation languages
These languages are also called natural languages. They provide a graphical interface to the user. They are made for creating programs with less effort. These languages are used to solve a given problem with out presence of user, thus the user does not need special knowledge.
