2. There are two main divisions of Earth's surface.
3. The huge land masses are called continents and the huge water bodies are called ocean basins. 
4. It is made up of rocks and thin layer of soil.
5. Plateaus, continents, mountains and desert all are lithosphere.

Q4. What is Hydrosphere?
Ans- 1. The hydrosphere is water in all its forms.
 2. It consists of oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, ponds, underground water, rain, steam, etc.

Q5. What is Biosphere?
Ans- 1. The Biosphere is a narrow zone where life exists.
2. It is the connection between land air and water.
3. Without it life is not possible.
4. The organisms in biosphere are divided into two categories plants and animals.
