Hello friends in this article you are going to read some science notes.

1. Roughage are dietary fibres, pulses, fresh fruits and vegetables are good sources of roughage.

2. Roughage helps in getting rid of undigested food.

3. Water absorbs nutrients from food. It helps in easy digestion and it helps in throwing waste out of the body in form of urine and sweat.

4. A diet which contains all nutrients in a proper quantity is called balanced diet.

5. Obesity is a disorder of body in which the body of the person gets fat and lethargic. It occurs due to lack of exercise and overeating.

6. Diseases which occur due to lack of some nutrients for a long time are called deficiency diseases.

7. Deficiency disease for vitamin a is night blindness.
Deficiency disease for vitamin b is beri-beri.
Deficiency disease for vitamin c is scurvy.
Deficiency disease for vitamin d is rickets.
Deficiency disease for calcium is bone and tooth decay.
Deficiency disease for iodine is goiter.
Deficiency disease for iron is anaemia.
