Eureka

Image result for archimedes and gold crown

Archimedes was a Greek scholar who lived about 2200 years ago.
Once Archimedes was asked by Hiero the king of Syracuse to ascertain whether or not some gold was stolen by the goldsmith who was directed to mould a votive crown out of it's given quantity. He pondered real hard, but he found no success to ferret a way out to validate Hiero's suspicion, until one day.
One day Archimedes was taking a bath. As he  stepped in bathtub he found that, some of water from the bathtub was overflowed out of it. It took him just a 'moment' before he jumped out and ran through the streets shouting, "Eureka! Eureka!". Eureka is the Greek word for 'I have found it'.
Archimedes knew that the different metals of same weight differ in their volumes. He went on to show equally weighed crown and pure gold displace unequal amount of water with former displacing more. This proved that significant percentage of some other less valuable metal having higher volume than gold is mixed in the crown and the and that some gold was indeed stolen. Goldsmith confessed the fact shortly after.
Thus using his knowledge Archimedes prove that goldsmith had stolen some of the gold.
By this story, one must learn that if you are not finding any way to prove yourself then take a pause and during calm and quiet moments of your life you will find the way definitely.
