Indian States by Susnata Mandal

We brothers are twenty nine, sisters are seven;

Mother gave Tamil Nadu and Kerala south face;

Live in our mother's house, this is our heaven;

Behind them another brother Karnataka stays;

Eldest sister New Delhi is our guardian;

Andra Pradesh living rear south east side;

As if we are sitting under a mighty banyan;

Newly born Telangana staying with pride;

We always listen to her, anytime at any call;

Mother says you listen dear, thirty six my strength;

She is our mother's capital, we obey her all;

Smash the evil try ti touch your breadth and length.

Middle room is left for brother Madhya Pradesh;

Our little sisters known as Union Territories;

One side Chattisgarh and other Uttar Pradesh;

We are here to take care, mother never worries.

In the North, Jammu and Kashmir, he lives there;

Lakshadweep, Puducherry, also Chandigarh;

Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand are very near;

Dadra Nagar Haveli, Andaman and Nicobar;

Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan are in north west.

With them other name is Daman and Diu;

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa are facing total west;

You are all our strength too, we all love you;

Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland live in the very east.

We are all our Mother's Pet, our mother is great;

Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura are also in that list;

We all in our mother's house,  we are fortunate;

Assam and Meghalaya stay very close to them;

We are proud Indians, but are very straight.

Sikkim is in the north, West Bengal can claim;

We are not at all afraid of any sort of threat;

Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha live along side by side;

We are brave, we are bold, we are desperate;

World knows our mother as a friend, philosopher and guide;

We are your children mother, we are your states.
